The National Bank for Financing Infrastructure Development and Development (NABFID) will consult with other stakeholders and submit a report to the government about financing infrastructure.In a statement on Thursday, the Finance Ministry said that the Finance Secretary M Nagaraju held a meeting to discuss the issues related to the financial supply sector and the NABFID will submit its report within 3 days days.
“In some of the important issues discussed, there was a better availability of financing, enhancing capacity and increasing training on the issue of municipal bonds, and better availability of default and recovery data,” the ministry said various measures and recommendations were placed on the infrastructure sector. The meeting was attended by senior management of the major public sector banks, private sector banks, development financial institutions and senior management of non-banking financial company-registration facilities. “The government has already asked the NABFID to explore the bridge finance structures for the financing of the municipality, which can help to increase the resources for urban infrastructure.”
