The Cabinet Committee (CCEA) on the Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved two transport infrastructure projects worth Rs. Backer-Bagalpur High-Speed Corridor’s Mokam-Mangar Division at Hybrid U Niyuite Mode (HAM). 4,447.38 crore Cabinet was acknowledged. Doubles of Bhagalpur – Dumka – Bihar, Jharkhand and the Single Railway Line Division (777 km) in West Bengal were also approved for Rs.“These projects will have better connectivities in Bihar and adjoining regions,” Union Railway, Information Technology and Information Minister Ashwini Vaishnat said.
The railway project has five districts in Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. This will increase the current network of Indian Railways by about 177 kilometers.
An official statement states that it is an essential way for the transport of coal, cement, fertilizers, bricks and stone. An additional freight transport of 15 million tonnes per year will lead to a capacity increase work.
The recognized highway department is connected to Bhaglpur to Moka, Barihaiya, Lakhisarai, Jamalpur, Munger. It is an important industrial region focusing on the ordinance factories, locomotive workshops, food processing units and related logistics and warehousing hubs. Bhagalpur is also a textile and logistics hub, which is led by his silk industry.
